Monte Altissimo

Monte Altissimo at Nago (2079m) is part of the Gardesana Prealps and in particular of the

Monte Baldo Range.

The view out to Lake Garda is one of the itinerary’s special features.

You can stop at the Altissimo D. Chiesa Refuge where you will find the best food and a warm

welcome.

Since 2000 it has been run with great enthusiasm by Danny Zampiccoli, an energetic and

charismatic person, alpine guide and extraordinary climber.

After a splendid walk, you will be able to really enjoy some local Trentino dishes like canederli,

polenta, goulasch, rabbit, lucanica and Alto Adige speck. After puddings you should try some

home made grappas.

The refuge organizes very nice events especially in the evening or during the full moon.

Here you enter as a client and leave as a friend, your host will really try to make you feel at

home. It is worth spending one night in the refuge.

The Refuge is open every day from May to October. From November to April, the refuge is

open at weekends and when the weather is good.

For further information please call 0039 335 6395415 (Danny cell phone) or the refuge on
